Welcome!  I’m Connie Lambeth, the midwife behind Pax & Lux Midwifery here in Madison, WI. While I attend home births, a significant part of my work is in-home postpartum care for those planning hospital or home births. I provide midwifery care for families in their homes as they find their footing in those early weeks, offering clinical assessment, hands-on care, and steady, nonjudgmental guidance as they recover, heal, and adjust to life with a new baby.

I believe postpartum deserves more attention, more tenderness, and more support than our culture often gives it. My approach is rooted in the understanding that when parents are truly cared for—physically, emotionally, and practically—the whole family benefits. I show up with a calm, grounded presence, helping families navigate everything from feeding and newborn rhythms to their own recovery and well-being.

In addition to in-home postpartum care that is based on the global standard of postpartum care, I offer education, professional insight, and space for reflection and processing. I’m passionate about building a stronger, more connected postpartum community here in Madison, and I’m honored to be part of the Madison Area Postpartum Collective.
