Kimberly Smith BS CSCS
Weight Inclusive Perinatal Strength Coach
Kimberly is a weight-inclusive perinatal strength and fitness coach who specializes in helping individuals prepare for and recover from birth. Through short, effective strength training workouts designed for home, she empowers her clients to feel strong and confident throughout pregnancy, birth and parenthood.
As a mom of two young children with a full life herself, Kimberly deeply understands that while exercise contributes significantly to wellbeing, it should complement – not dominate – one's lifestyle. Her philosophy centers around creating accessible fitness programs that fit into her clients' worlds rather than demanding that they restructure their lives around exercise. Postpartum is a time of immense change and transition where exercise can be one small way to take care of the mom or birthing person when there is otherwise so much focus on the baby.
Kimberly firmly believes that body size does not determine health and her approach moves beyond the conventional focus on weight loss or “bouncing back”, instead highlighting exercise as a tool for improving quality of life. For those experiencing pelvic floor symptoms such as leaking, prolapse or diastasis recti, Kimberly offers practical modifications that allow for continued activity while working toward symptom reduction.
Her services include both virtual and in-person options designed to incorporate strength training into pregnancy and postpartum care plans. All of Kimberly's workouts are intentionally designed to be completed at home with minimal equipment, accommodating the reality of frequent interruptions from children. She currently hosts several in-person sessions in Middleton and hopes to expand her offerings throughout the Madison area soon.
